  • 1. Complete the New Hire Checklist

    As a new team member, please review the Pre-Boarding Portal Checklist shared with you by your hiring representative, the person who called and emailed you after you accepted a verbal position offer. Please direct all questions related to the pre-boarding process to that person. There are several important steps outlined on this Checklist, so please thoroughly review it. 

  • 2. New Educator Welcome Details and Registration

    • Save the Date: New Educator Welcome 2020: Tuesday, July 28 - Thursday, July 30
    • Location: Virtual - This event will be delivered virtually as we prioritize the health and safety of our new educators and our staff. The delivery platforms and specific access instructions for each session will be included in your personal schedule.

  • 3. Summer Professional Development

    The Curriculum & Instruction Department has a variety of professional learning sessions available to help teachers new to DPS! Please check the Summer Professional Development Session Guide for grade level/content-specific learning opportunities. You can register for these sessions by following the links in the session guide and should check in with their school leaders to confirm which sessions are relevant. When attending Summer Professional Development, please be sure to indicate on the post-session sign-in that you are a new to DPS educator. Feel free to reach out to curriculum_instruction@dpsk12.org with any questions regarding these offerings! 

  • 5. Hired Late?

    • Make-Up Session Information 
      • Foundations in CRE: Check Learning Space to register for available make-up sessions
      • Please complete all of the New Employee Orienatation online modules through Learning Space. Upon completing your hiring, you received an email with necessary information with the subject line: "New Employee Orientation".
