Virtual Equity Boot Camp

Please join us for our virtual Equity Boot Camp, Neurodiversity and Exceptional Students: Changing the Narrative in Our Classrooms, on Friday, May 22, from 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. for a two-part conversation hosted by our team members from Student Equity and Opportunity to learn more about our neurodiverse and exceptional students in DPS.

Part 1: Understand Today’s Gifted Children: Confronting and Dismantling Stereotypes and Racism in Gifted Education facilitated by Director of Student Equity and Opportunity: Gifted Students and Nursing, Robin Greene.

Part 2: The Gifts that Exceptional Students Bring to the Classroom: Flipping the Script on How We Think About Students with a Disability facilitated by Director of Special Education, Robert Frantum-Allen.

Equity Boot Camp is an opportunity to build skills with colleagues who are infusing equity and inclusion through culturally responsive practices throughout the district.
