DPS Skills: Digital Storytelling

During this four week blended/hybrid workshop learners will explore factors that make an effective story and, using a selected story prompt, create a personalized digital story. Learners should be open to sharing personal stories, recording their voice and learning a digital editing tool (such as WeVideo).

• Know the seven elements of digital storytelling
• Use constructive critique guidelines during a story circle
• Combine multimedia elements to produce a short, first-person narrative digital story 2 to 4 minutes in length.

Please note: Learners will need to commit to a minimum of 6 hours of work, with almost half of that time on their own. We'll meet twice in person and other interactions will take place online in the Schoology LMS.
