Drew Ross
Manager of Client Technologies, Department of Technology Services
Integrity
"Drew Ross not only was a crucial part of the Google project in all phases, but in the most recent phase 2, he was like the glue for customer support. One of Drew's team members put it best, 'a dog with a bone' as it related to Drew finding the answers and getting Team DPS trained, even if it means one-on-one sessions at his desk, in meetings or over Google Meet -- and always complete with a few "dad" jokes. He has certainly made learning fun for central and school-based Google Champions and easy to remember for users. Drew built great resources for the champions to take back to their teams, which they could customize to fit and also to hold onto for reference when he was not there. Quite literally, Drew committed nights and weekends. He did this as a manager with a team to support and other duties assigned, but still put countless hours into the project from many different angles. He always has a smile, a positive attitude, collaborates with anyone, and brings a keen eye for how the Google project work benefits not only the district but, foremost, students. Getting the district fully in Google, with Gmail now, puts us where our students are learning, using the same tools, demonstrating how things work in a professional setting."
