During last year's Teacher Appreciation Week, Melanie Rios at West Leadership Academy was the winner of a $5,000 grant for innovation in the classroom, made possible through Delta Dental. Thanks to the grant, Melanie was able to purchase a variety of items to help her teach Life Skills and Functional Academics to MI Center Program students. Plus, giveaway winner Janette Barela of Maxwell Elementary shared what $500 was able to provide her students -- including materials for "Robot Fest"!
"I was able to purchase multiple port chargers so that I can charge 20 devices at once! I also used part of the money to purchase some Sphero Minis to round out our robot collection. The kids are so excited to use these next week!"
