Dear Team DPS,
As a follow up to the information we shared on June 24 about requesting an accommodation for vulnerable individuals and individuals with disabilities, we are providing an update on the accommodation request process.
Beginning today, Human Resources is accepting accommodation requests from employees living in the same household as a vulnerable individual or employees with childcare responsibilities, in addition to vulnerable individuals and individuals with disabilities.
Potential accommodations for employees who fall into these categories include (but are not limited to) working remotely, working in-person but with increased safety measures, or modified schedules. We will prioritize requests for vulnerable individuals and those with disabilities. We will consider all requests, but please note, accommodations are not guaranteed.
Accommodation Requests - New Process
Our central office teams are currently working to build staffing and student schedules for the fall, and in order to have sufficient time to plan for our first day of school, we are asking employees who are seeking an accommodation to fill out a secure and confidential form in Infor HR. This form will be reviewed by the HR Leaves team. No action is required if you are not seeking an accommodation or if you have already submitted a request for accommodation.
View these instructions for submitting an accommodation request -- for both vulnerable individuals and those living in the same household with vulnerable individuals, or those with childcare responsibilities -- by logging on to Employee Space from the Employee Action Center on The Commons.
The request form will ask you to provide medical documentation regarding your disability or the reasons you qualify for an accommodation. You can provide your medical documentation by attaching it in Infor, or emailing it to LeaveOfAbsence@dpsk12.org if you need additional time to collect the information.
This process will remain open for accommodations through Dec. 31. Per CARES Act guidelines, only COVID-related leaves are affected by the December date; our standard Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) process remains in place.
Leave of Absence Requests
For complete information about leave of absence requests related to COVID-19, visit The Commons.
Follow these instructions to submit your Leave of Absence request through TruePay. Please submit your request using a computer and not on a mobile device.
If you have questions, please email LeaveOfAbsence@dpsk12.org or call 720-423-3092.
Thank you for your continued flexibility and support to ensure we can plan for a great start for our team members and students in the 2020-21 school year.
Sincerely,
June Taylor
