If you can’t purchase what you need with your VISA Pcard, then you’ll likely have to order what you need on a requisition. Many requisitions have to go through the complete procurement steps and processes. In many cases, especially for recurring goods and services, the Strategic Sourcing Department negotiates long term contracts with vendors for the best possible value. These are called Requirement Contracts. You save a lot of administrative lead time and costs if you know what you need is already on a Requirements Contract.
Follow the steps below to see if your needs can be filled by an existing Requirements Contract. Use the existing contract information to assist you in filling out your requisition. If the contract shows an expired date, contact the buyer to see if the contract has or is in the process of being renewed or extended. Also contact the buyer if you can’t exactly find what you need.
