Discrimination Prevention and Response (DPR) Process

  • Denver Public Schools is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusiveness. We celebrate our diversity and will provide the necessary resources and supports to eliminate barriers to success and foster a more equitable future for all of our community members, students and employees. The DPR process is fully outlined in Board Regulation AC-R1

District run schools, scroll down for report forms.

This site contains forms and resources for reporting, preventing and responding to allegations of discrimination, including allegations of unlawful sexual behavior.

    • They are solely for allegations of potentially discriminatory conduct based on a person’s protected class.
    • DPS recognizes the following protected classes: race, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, transgender status, religion, national origin, immigration/citizenship status, ancestry, age, marital status, pregnancy status, veteran status, disability, genetic information of an employee, and participation in a discrimination investigation.

If you are unsure whether or not you should be initiating a discrimination report, please reference the Assessing the Situation Guide.

Charter schools, please follow the guidance released in the 8/22/18 ChalkTalk:

To report discrimination and/or harassment complaints, please continue to use your organization's own forms or these paper forms and submit them to your school and governing organization (if applicable). As a charter school, it is your organization's legal responsibility to investigate and document Title IX complaints. All individual situations, including student-employee and employee-employee situations should be handled by the charter school and its counsel. However, DPS will be providing a guidance document for charter schools and Alicia Franks-Gibson, a DPS Student Safety Coordinator, is available for thought partnership on situations involving students.

District run schools, select the report from you need from the menu below. Note, you must be on the DPS network to access these forms. Log into VPN if you need to access the forms off-site.
