Shared Campus Team

    Administrative Sites

DPS has three shared administrative buildings, serving roughly 1500 district employees. 780 Grant and Acoma are dynamic workspaces collectively housing over 400 DPS team members. The Emily Griffith Campus houses over 1000 DPS team members across seven administrative floors, along with three schools and the multifunctional event and meeting space known as the 14er.

The Shared Campus Team supports workspace management by managing departmental footprints and space shifts, coordinating the use and modification of offices and workstations and managing the use of conference space and personal use rooms. This support is achieved by:

    • developing and maintaining office handbooks and building standards,
    • managing relationships with vendors and the DPS Facilities Team,
    • collaborating with DPS leadership to promote equity and community in the workplace, and
    • coordinating the communication of campus-wide messaging.

Through this work, the Shared Campus Team aims to maintain safe, inviting and productive workspaces for all DPS employees working in shared administrative buildings.

    School Sites

There are 53 schools colocated on 24 shared campuses across the district. These campuses house schools with various governance models, including a combination of district-managed schools, charter schools, and innovation schools. The Shared Campus Team actively supports 15 of these shared campuses, comprising 35 distinct schools. This takes the form of operational support, space allocation and management, and relationship management. At the campus level, each shared campus manager guides the annual development of a shared campus plan and memorandum of understanding (MOU), by and between all school leaders on campus, and meets with school leaders regularly to monitor and support campus relationships and adherence to the shared campus plan. These plans outline shared values and expectations, individual school footprints and the coordinated use of shared spaces. In addition to facilitating collaboration on campus, the Shared Campus Team also supports relationships between school leaders and relevant DPS teams and service providers. This is all done in the service of promoting equitable solutions to operational challenges faced by schools on shared campuses.
