    Style Guide

    The DPS Style Guide covers the district's voice and tone, Associated Press writing style, and using effective language. Using its guidelines creates a unified voice in all materials and across all channels.

  • Logos, Fonts and Colors

    DPS Logos

    DPS Logos

    There are two different orientations of the Denver Public Schools logo — horizontal and vertical. The horizontal orientation of the logo is the primary version and should be used whenever possible. There are also various file formats for print and web use.

    DPS Fonts

    Fonts

    DPS has two primary typefaces– Archer Pro and DIN Pro. The primary typeface for headlines is Archer Pro, while DIN Pro is used mainly for body copy. Both typefaces can be used for subheads.

    DPS Colors

    Colors

    The approved DPS palette is a dynamic mix of colors meant to balance the primary DPS blue color. When used together, the colors provide many creative possibilities while still aligning with DPS brand standards.

  • Department Branding

    Request Branding

    The Communications Office provides support in establishing your department. You must work with DPS Communications to create your department brand. If your team does not have a custom brand, please work with your manager and contact communications@dpsk12.org.

    If your department has chosen to adopt an internal brand with a customized logo lockup and color palette, you have access to various logo formats, letterhead templates and other assets specific to your department.

  • Templates

    Start by selecting either DPS-branded templates or department-branded templates. If you select department-branded templates, please select the colored templates that correspond to the color of your internal logo lockup.

    DPS email signatures are customizable and easy to use.

    Presentation and Slide Deck Templates

    The DPS-branded Google Slides Templates offer several slide options to choose from. Customize your presentations with template slides, placeholder photos and text boxes.

    Several Google Doc templates have been created to take the stress out of one-pagers. All come with pre-set colors, fonts and placeholder photos. There are multiple layouts to choose from – single, two or three columns.

    DPS Letterhead Templates

    The DPS letterhead comes in two formats. Use the Google doc format when you need to draft a letter, memo, etc. The PDF format can be printed on.

    Postcard Templates

    Design your own 9in x 6in postcards using Canva. Make sure to log in to Canva using your work DPS email address to access the templates.

    DPS Communications maintains a curated library of photos on PhotoShelter for use on DPS projects.

    View the PhotoShelter instructions for guidance and best practices. Email communications@dpsk12.org to request access.
