Parent Teacher Home Visit Trainings

In order to do home visits and get compensated for them, you MUST be PTHV trained and your certification must be up to date. PTHV certifications expire every 3 years. You will receive payment for attending either training. The PTHV Program offers two types of trainings:

1. Initial PTHV Certification Training for Staff New to Program (virtual)

This training is a 3 hour virtual training that is offered monthly. This training is for educators who are NEW to the program and have never attended a training before. If it has been 5+ years since you have taken a training, then we recommend taking this training to get a full refresher. If a minimum of 10 participants is not reached, the training will be rescheduled for a different day. Signup will close 2 days prior to the scheduled training.

2. PTHV Recertification Course

This training is for staff who have taken the training before but are looking to re-new their certification because it has expired. PTHV certifications expire every 3 years. This training is a self-paced course on Learning Space in which you can take on your own time.
