Abraham Lincoln High School’s student council has made DPS history by being the first-ever school to receive a National Gold Council of Excellence award by the National Association of Student Councils.
Veronica Castillo, a teacher at Garden Place Academy, lives Our DPS Value of Students First. Fernanda nominated Veronica, saying, "She builds great relationships with families and always puts students first in all she does."

Day of (No) Silence is a nationally recognized student-led demonstration in which LGBTQ+ students and allies protest the harassment and discrimination against LGBTQ+ people in schools.
Tom Conroy, Facilities Manager at Thomas Jefferson High School, lives Our Shared DPS Vaue of Integrity. Timi, who nominated Tom, says: "He is always busy taking care of us in so many ways."
