Living Our DPS Honoree: Alesandra Rodriguez

    5/11/2023 Comments (-1)-1

    Alesandra Rodriguez
    Curriculum Specialist, Steele Elementary
    Equity

"Since joining our department last summer, Alesandra has been an incredible addition to the Gifted and Talented (GT) Department. Alesandra has been integral in working with our multilingual families and initiatives to increase identification. She has improved communications and testing procedures to ensure they are equitable, specifically for our Spanish-speaking students and families. Additionally, she has been an important presence in collaborating with our ECE teachers and sites in instituting new procedures for ECE testing and Early Access. She has been involved in multiple talks with families and community members about GT learners, often presenting content in Spanish and bringing information to a wider audience. Alesandra has been a positive force and voice in our department and I am so grateful to have her as a colleague."
