Charter School ELA Teacher Qualification Program

  • Teacher stands in the middle of a middle school classroom looking at her students

We value our diverse student body, and are committed to improving instruction and student achievement outcomes for every student by providing a rigorous, enriching educational experience. We honor the unique contributions of each student, helping to ensure their success by embracing their language and culture.

All teachers who are new to DPS Charter Schools receive an ELA designation with specific training and learning opportunities in order to meet the needs of our diverse learners. The students you teach drive the type of designation (ELA-T, ELA-E or ELA-S) you receive. Your designation drives your required coursework.
