Enrollment projections

Student enrollment projections are used by the district to set each school budget for the upcoming school year.  The purpose is to project student enrollment for October 1^st of the upcoming year, which is the snapshot that the State of Colorado uses to fund DPS. The projection process begins in mid-November and is finalized by mid-January in time for school budgets to be developed. For 2017-18 projection information, please see Projections Resources.

Long-term enrollment forecast

In addition to projections for the upcoming school year, the Department of Planning Analysis develops long-term forecasts annually.  These forecasts help the district identify emerging facility requirements, identified in the Strategic Regional Analysis, as well as inform The Call for Quality Schools.
