Enrollment Projections
- Enrollment projections
Student enrollment projections are used by the district to set each school budget for the upcoming school year. The purpose is to project student enrollment for October 1st of the upcoming year, which is the snapshot that the State of Colorado uses to fund DPS. The projection process begins in mid-November and is finalized by mid-January in time for school budgets to be developed. For 2024-25 projection information, please see Projections Resources.
Long-term enrollment forecast
In addition to projections for the upcoming school year, the Department of Planning Analysis develops long-term forecasts annually. These forecasts help the district identify emerging facility requirements, identified in the Strategic Regional Analysis, as well as inform The Call for Quality Schools.
