The City and County of Denver provides funding for salaries and equipment for 40 crossing guards at District Schools.  Other schools utilize volunteer-based crossing guards.  Interested individuals apply for the positions through the District's Human Resources Department's hiring process.  Andrea Garcia with the Campus Safety team oversees the school assignments and the training of crossing gurads assigned to schools.
