Special Event Safety Request

The Department of Safety has two categories of personnel available to assist during night meetings and special school events.
Rate pay for Safety personnel
- Patrol Officer (armed) $55.00/hour
- Campus Safety Officer (unarmed) $45.00/hour
- Safety Sergeant/Lieutenant (Armed) $65.00/hour
Patrol Officer, Campus Safety, and Sergeants will all receive a total of one hour travel time to and from events. Additionally, there is one hour event planning included in the event time (eg. If the event starts at 7pm officers will arrive at 6pm) for emergency planning.
Please complete the requisition for safety personnel and have it signed by the designee that is requesting the safety officer.
Email your request, using the Requisition and Charge Authorization form, to the Department of Safety at least 72 hours prior to the event, to allow time for scheduling, Security_SpecialEvents@dpsk12.org. Questions may also be directed to this email address. The email address is monitored.
