  • CSO Supervision

The Campus Safety Officers (CSO) Division consists of 90 Campus Safety Officers, 4 Sergeants, 1 Lieutenant, and 1 Commander staffing K-8, Charter, Middle, High, and Intensive Pathway Schools throughout DPS. The primary function of a CSO is to intervene and prevent or resolve potential or actual disruptive activity and provide proactive protection for the students, staff and visitors at assigned schools within the District.  In addition, the CSO Division provides quality security services in positive working relationships with our community partners and designated District facilities.  The CSO Division supports other DPS Divisions by assisting with and responding to critical incidents throughout the District and ensuring their partnerships with the Crossing Guard Program, Traffic Safety Task Force, and Safe Routes 2 School Coalition needs are being met through effective communication and follow through.
