In recognition of this historic moment, we are announcing an early release at noon Friday, June 18.
Thank you for your continued commitment and care in supporting our students. We are pleased to share that the Board of Education has approved DPS' 2021-22 budget. As part of this budget, all employees on a work-year schedule will receive a pay increase starting Aug. 1.
These schools were chosen by the ProComp Implementation Team, which includes members from DCTA and DPS. The schools represent a variety of student populations and regions from ECE through high school and have demonstrated a commitment to the focus areas of the whole child.
As we look back on the year, we wanted to share some of our wonderful end-of-year celebrations: Leadership Lamp Honorees: Celebrating Our Shared Core Values Role Models, Congratulating the Class of 2021, Celebrating Our DPS Sports Champions and Board Votes to Appoint Dr. Alex Marrero as DPS Superintendent
As we look ahead to the summer, we wanted to share a few resources to help ensure all of our students can stay active and learning, and all of our families feel supported.
After a thorough and far-reaching search process that included hundreds of hours of conversations across our community, we are thrilled to announce that the Board of Education will be voting on June 3 to appoint Dr. Alex Marrero as the next superintendent of the Denver Public Schools.
With just a few short weeks left in the school year -- and because vaccinations just became available to students over the age of 12 and are not yet available to our elementary students -- DPS will maintain its existing policies, including the DPS 5 for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.
