Our Operations Division is led by Deputy Superintendent of Operations Jim Carpenter. Jim has previously served as our Chief Financial Officer for DPS, and was our Executive Director of Choice and Planning in 2018 and 2019. Prior to joining the district, Jim was the Deputy Head of School and Chief Financial Officer for the American School of Doha in Doha, Qatar, and served as a Resident Budget Advisor for the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Technical Assistance. He is a Colorado native and comes from a proud family tradition of serving in public education, with his wife, mother, sister, grandfather and grandmother all having worked in public education in a variety of roles.
