  • Operations Leadership Institute (OLI) Program Highlights

We have divided OLI into four program highlights aimed at enhancing both individual and organizational growth, carefully considering the unique needs of all eight departments within the Office of Operations. By focusing on Workplace Culture, Leadership Development, Operational Effectiveness, and the Strategic Roadmap, we strive to cultivate a supportive and high-performing environment tailored to diverse departmental goals. Each category provides valuable resources and opportunities to develop essential skills, promote collaboration, and maintain organizational integrity.

  • Strategic Roadmap

Strategic Roadmap encompasses a comprehensive understanding of the District's vision and mission as well as the Strategic Roadmap that informs critical strategies. Our focus will be on District governance, structure, policies, and the student, adult, and system experience.

  • Workplace Culture

Workplace Culture encompasses the shared values, behaviors, and practices that shape the work environment. Fostering effective communication, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and inclusivity contributes to a supportive and engaging workplace.

  • Leadership Development

Leadership Development focuses on enhancing the skills, qualities, and competencies necessary for effective leadership, including ethical behavior and personal growth. Empowering leaders fosters a strong vision and inspires teams to reach their full potential.

  • Operational Effectiveness

Operational Effectiveness involves optimizing processes and utilizing technology, analytics, and data to inform strategic goals. By leveraging these tools, teams can work efficiently and collaboratively to achieve successful outcomes.

  • How It Works

This initial phase focuses on readily available, free courses found on platforms like YouTube, Coursera, and Udemy. While YouTube courses are freely accessible, those on Coursera and Udemy require logins (already approved by DoTS). For detailed login instructions, please click on "How Tos" on the left.

To receive credit for completing a course, you'll need to fill out the Follow Up Form. Your responses on this form will be shared with your direct supervisor. Please note that, at this time, these courses will not be added to your official transcript.
