You Were Automatically Enrolled - Now What?

  • Auto-enrollment means that you did not elect or waive benefits during your Open Enrollment or New Hire Enrollment periods. In that case, DPS automatically enrolls you in a plan to make sure that you have access to affordable health care. Below is some information about your plans, the benefits to you, and what to do next.

  • Your Retirement Account

Beginning August, 2023 new hires at DPS will be automatically enrolled in a pre tax 403(b) account at a 2% salary deduction with Corebridge Finanical.  To access your account, please visit Corebridge Financial to log into your account.

If you wish to opt out of this benefit, please call Corebridge Finanical at 1-800-448-2542 and provide them with access code 10021001 and a representative will ensure you are not enrolled in this benefit.  If you were enrolled and had a payroll deduduction and would like to withdrawal your funds from your account, please download and complete the Permisible Withdrawal of Automatic Enrollment Elective Deferrals Form and fax it to 1-877-202-0187 or mail it to the following address:

    Valic Document Control

    PO Box 15648

    Amarillo, TX 79105

Please note, you will have 90 days from the date of your first payroll withholding to withdrawal your funds from your account. For more information, please contact Corebridge at 1-800-448-2542.

  • Your Medical Coverage

You were enrolled in the 2023-24 MotivHealth CDHP 3000  plan. This plan provides preventive care for free. This may include free annual preventative exams and some free preventative prescriptions. To get started using your medical benefits, please call 1-844-234-4472 or visit dps.motivhealth.com to register your account with MotivHealth.

Your medical plan is an after-tax deduction. We do this to allow benefits to be dropped outside of Open Enrollment or with a Qualifying Life Event.

Cost: check out the Enrollment Guide to determine your per paycheck cost for this plan.

*You will see your MotivHealth premium listed under “After Tax Deductions” on your paychecks. Certain employee groups are eligible for Benefit Credits or premium subsidies to offset the cost of this coverage. If eligible, you will see your Benefit Credits listed under the medical plan deduction as a negative number (a negative number means this is a credit back to you, not another deduction) - this offsets the cost of the medical plan coverage.

  • Your Health Savings Account (HSA)

DPS contributes $27.92 per paycheck on your behalf to your new Health Savings Account (HSA)!
