Support Services foster a safe, welcoming school environment by leading districtwide efforts in school climate development, bullying prevention, and youth violence prevention. Through strategic project management and training in trauma-informed practices, gun violence prevention, and community-centered programming, our teams implement proactive strategies that enhance school safety and support student well-being. We are committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment that fosters the success and well-being of every student and staff member.

    Bullying Prevention / School Culture

Implements programs to prevent bullying and promote positive behavior, provides education and training to staff, students, and families on bullying prevention, supports schools in creating safe and inclusive environments, and collaborates with school communities to address incidents and foster a culture of respect. We provide Bullying Awareness Workshops for students, staff, and parents to help them recognize different forms of bullying and learn effective strategies to address them.

To support a culture of trust and safety, we’ve implemented a confidential and easy-to-use reporting system that allows students to report incidents of bullying without fear. Every report is taken seriously, with timely follow-up actions that may include counseling, restorative practices, and corrective measures to support all those involved and foster a positive school environment.

    School Climate Development Team

Provides proactive coaching to enhance school climate and safety, develops tailored training programs for the Department of Climate and Safety, fosters collaboration between Campus Safety, Patrol, and school teams, and collects data to track progress and reduce safety incidents.

Collaborates closely with schools and community partners to address underlying causes of violence, provides training and resources to staff and students on conflict resolution and violence prevention, and supports the creation of safe and inclusive school environments.

    Emergency Management

Prepares and trains school leaders and staff for emergency situations, develops and implements safety protocols across the district, coordinates with local agencies to ensure a unified emergency response, and ensures schools are equipped to effectively manage and recover from incidents.
