The primary role of the Treasury department is the management of the District’s funds and mitigating risk associated with our funds. Treasury is focused on the present cash flow needs and the planning of future cash requirements. Treasury is very dynamic and always changing which creates great challenges. With the ever increasing pace of change to regulation, compliance and technology in the financial sector, Treasury has increasingly become a strategic business partner across all areas of business, adding value to the operating divisions of the District.
Treasury responsibility is to provide management and control and preserve the cash flows in accordance with the District cash management policy and guidelines and management of the risks related to those cash flows.
