The Authorizing & Accountability team provides oversight to the charter schools, innovation schools, and innovation zones in the DPS portfolio of schools. 

We work to ensure that all schools, regardless of governance type, serve all students, have access to district resources, and are held accountable in equitable ways. 

Our work is grounded in the following beliefs:

• We believe that students and families thrive when they have high-quality schools in their neighborhoods
• We believe that those who work most closely with our students should be supported and empowered to drive student learning. This includes teachers, families, leaders, and community members.
• And, we believe that our team’s role in supporting this work is to support, oversee, and hold a school accountable for their performance so that every learner thrives.
