    • Summer Connections:
      • BESS Analysis We investigated whether participating in the Summer Connections program improved students' social emotional learning by comparing BESS scores for students who participated in Summer Connections in 2022 to similar students who did not participate in Summer Connections.
      • READ Act Analysis We investigated whether participating in the Summer Connections program improved students' literacy skills by comparing READ Act scores for students who participated in Summer Connections in 2022 to similar students who did not participate in Summer Connections.
    • Grade Level Tutoring:
      • Progress Report This progress report shows monthly data on tutoring participation, attendance rates, and results from student and teacher feedback surveys
      • University Instructor Tutoring Outcome Analysis We investigated whether participation in UI tutoring led to improved reading assessment outcomes by comparing various reading assessment scores for students who participated in tutoring and similar students who did not participate in tutoring.
      • Tutoring Cignition Report We investigated whether participation in Cignition tutoring led to improved math outcomes by comparing CMAS math scores for students who participated in tutoring and similar students who did not participate in tutoring.
    • AN Center Analysis This report is a summary of staff interviews conducted to determine what improvements could be made at AN Centers.

    • Secondary English Interim Testing and Average Scores:
      • Unit 1, 2022 For all non-charter schools in Grades 9-12, we looked at how schools compare in both the percentage of students taking Unit 1 test (English 1-4) as well as their average scores on these assessments.
      • Unit 3, 2023 For all non-charter schools in Grades 9-12, we looked at how schools compare in both the percentage of students taking Unit 3 test (English 1-4) as well as their average scores on these assessments.
    • Black Student Achievement, Growth, and Enrollment, by School Update For all non-charter and non-pathways schools in Grades 9-12, we looked at how schools compare in both Black student enrollment and Black student achievement, across a variety of grade levels and assessments.
    • School Lunch Focus Group Analysis We led focus groups with students at select elementary, middle, and high schools to understand students' perceptions of school lunch to understand how the district can improve school lunch.
    • Attendance:
      • Student Attendance: Review of Academic Literature A review of the academic literature around the determinants of student attendance, its association with student outcomes, and recommended policies and practices.
      • Root Cause Analysis, Part I This analysis looks at some student demographic factors to learn more about which students have high or low attendance. 
      • Root Cause Analysis Part II This analysis looks at qualitative data on attendance perspectives from principals, students, and families in 23 DPS schools
    • Exceptional Student Services Post School Outcomes Interview Report: November 2023 The Exceptional Student Services team followed up with students with IEPs who left DPS at least a year ago to find out what they were up to and what, if any, supports they needed. This report summarizes the responses from those interviews.
