Hello Team Transportation,

 

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to DPS. The District will continue paying employees who are on work year calendars with a defined number of days. Beginning August 10th, drivers and paras will be paid based on their 2019-20 school year bid. This pay structure will continue until you get your 2020-21 school year assignment based on the 2020-21 bid. The 2020-21 bid is scheduled for August 19th, 20th, and 21st. You will be receiving a follow-up email providing details on the bid process in the days to come.  

We will make every effort to provide meaningful work tasks for all employees, including those whose jobs cannot be performed in a remote environment, up until October 16th. Some examples of that meaningful work include food delivery, SPED routes, multiple training opportunities, and other duties as they become available. 

We will continue to update you about changes as frequently as possible.
