RE:  Happy Holidays!

As 2020 begins winding to a close, I want to take a few moments to thank you. I know this year wasn’t what any of us expected, but that didn’t stop us from coming together to provide safe transportation for children across Denver. I’m inspired by your dedication and am proud to have each and every one of you on my team.

Many of us have had to make big sacrifices this year. We canceled birthday parties, missed out on family gatherings, maybe couldn’t even be there for the birth of a grandchild because the risk of spreading COVID-19 was just too great. I know this Winter Break will look different for most of us. I hope you can still find a way to be with your loved ones, even if it’s just a group text, a Zoom call or even mailing each other handwritten letters. It’s important to know that you’re not alone, you’re part of the Transportation Services family. I’ll be thinking of you as we head into 2021 together.

I can’t tell you what the future holds, but I will say I think 2021 will be brighter because you’re part of Transportation Services. I look forward to being able to transport more students in the new year. I keep focusing on when we’ll be able to congregate in the terminals again. I can almost hear the laughs bellowing down the hall, making me smile. I can’t tell you when that day will get here-- but I can tell you it WILL get here. We WILL be able to get back to normal at some point, so please just continue to be patient and keep following social distancing guidelines. Happy Holidays everyone, I will see you next year!!

Before I let you go, I’ll leave you with a little joke:

What do snowmen call their offspring?

Chill-dren!

I hope you have happy holidays and I’ll see you in 2021,

Albert Samora
