RE: Higher Capacity on Buses
Now that more students are returning to in-person learning, We are now allowing two students to sit together per seat. This will give our busses a higher capacity, meaning Transportation Services will be able to help more students get to class safely.
We thought very carefully before deciding to expand service. It’s our mission to keep both students and staff safe while still providing equitable access to education. Denver Health has provided DPS guidelines which support two students to a seat and provide added instructional value for our students.
As a reminder, all DPS employees have the option to get a free COVID-19 vaccine. You can read more about the vaccination program here. If you have any questions about how to sign up for the vaccine, please email CoronaVirusInfo@dpsk12.org or call 720-424-4357.
