RE:  Northeast Terminal COVID-19 Outbreak Update

Dear Northeast Terminal Employees,

We wanted to update you on safety precautions we are taking amid the current COVID-19 outbreak at the Northeast terminal.

Right now, all of the potentially exposed individuals are being quarantined. Because this virus is mostly airborne and those possibly infected people are out of the office, a continued spread of the virus is unlikely. However, out of an abundance of caution to keep everyone safe, we will perform a deep cleaning of the Northeast Terminal using sanitation guns. This deep cleaning will begin this afternoon and will go into the night.

As always, we are continuing to follow the DPS 5. Please review the following five steps, as they are crucial to helping keep us all safe.

  1. Complete your health screening. Complete a health screening every day before entering, and please stay home if you are sick. This means you fill out this link before or at the beginning of your shift. We will also be taking your temperature as you enter the terminal.
  2. Wear a mask or a face covering. Face coverings are required in the terminal and on your bus.
  3. Maintain physical distance. Please stay at least six feet away from other adults.
  4. Meet virtually. The District would like you to refrain from having official meetings in-person. Instead, please use Google, Zoom or some other virtual space.
  5. Practice good hygiene. Cover coughs and sneezes, and avoid touching your face. Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer.

We want to make it clear that we value your safety above all else and will keep you posted on the situation.

If you have further questions, please reach out to your supervisor.

Sincerely,

 Albert Samora
