RE:  Mandate reprimand

If you have already submitted proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or you have been notified about your approved accommodation, then you may disregard this email.

If you meet the conditions of the mandate and are considered compliant by January 1, 2022, then reprimands regarding your noncompliance will be removed from your record.

As a reminder, If you haven’t already provided proof of vaccination or have a pending accommodation request submitted, then this email is for you. You are considered incompliant until you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or until your accommodation request is approved, therefore, you will need to do the following immediately:

  • Wear your mask in DPS buildings and school buses
  • Get a weekly COVID-19 test. Results of your test will be shared with DPS.
    • You can get tested for free by following the instructions on this page
    • If you don’t have an approved accommodation through DPS, you will be responsible for getting tested on your own time outside of your scheduled work times.
    • We do not accept at-home tests, you need to visit a facility that uses COVIDCHECKColorado
    • If you don’t get tested for COVID-19 weekly, you could receive a civil penalty of up to $5,000 per violation by DDPHE
    • Failure to test weekly could result in further disciplinary actions up to and including dismissal from your employment with DPS.

If you are still incompliant on November 18th, the district will recommend dismissal from your employment for failure to comply with the District’s weekly testing policy. If you are not compliant by January 1st, you will be terminated from your employment, effective January 2nd, 2022.

Thank you,

Albert Samora
