The district-approved Capstone criteria encourages schools to have students create portfolios of work that demonstrate college and career readiness. This approach allows schools to use the portfolios as a means of monitoring progress over time. It also provides a process-oriented approach to meet the new graduation requirements compared to the other test-centric options.
